ASSOCIATED SERVICES FOR THE BLIND & VISUALLY IMPAIRED (ASB)
APPOINTS NEW President and CEO Karla S. McCaney

Philadelphia, PA, Monday, August 14, 2017 — On behalf of the Board of Directors of Associated Services for the Blind & Visually Impaired (ASB), it is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Karla S. McCaney, MBA, as the next President & CEO, at the Associated Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired, effective August 14th, 2017.

Karla brings 25 years of leadership experience and is focused on translating these skills to ASB.  Karla received her Bachelors of Arts in Biochemistry from Immaculata University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at Temple University.  Karla joins us from Cooper University Health Care where she served as Assistant Vice President responsible for hospital-based support services functions. Karla became familiar with ASB during her position with Wills Eye Hospital.  Her 17 years at Wills Eye gave her a strong frame of reference to understand the importance of ASB, to the population it serves, and to the region.  Her vast professional experience including Cooper University Hospital, Wills Eye Hospital and Pennsylvania Hospital, has established her abilities to succeed within her new role as ASB’s President & CEO.

Please join us in welcoming Karla to Associated Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

We look forward to many achievements in the years to come.
